Participation based instructions:

• Students from various streams like Diploma, ITI, Engineering UG & PG of EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Mechatronics, etc. departments can participate in this event
  *Note: All the participants must be regular students of the current academic year
• During the course of the actual competition or at any phase before that if any participant is found to be using any Unfair practices / methods, the participant will be disqualified from the competition
• Participants will be measured based on their score in two rounds (Qualifier round & final round)

Qualifier Round:

• This round will be more of learning for the participants to gain more knowledge on industrial automation and mechatronics, thereby increasing their winning probabilities
• The qualifier includes details like the general instructions of the competition, rules and regulations, followed by elearning modules on different technologies
• This round doesn’t end with only theoretical learning. The qualifier round will also give some physical activities like practicing using our online application (VMAL App)
• In the theoretical learning, the participants will be able to learn about Pneumatic, Electro-Pneumatic, PLC and an overview of the mechatronics system, which helps students to grasp the fundamental technical instruction required to complete the Janatics Skill Competition
• In order to advance to the qualifying phase, participants must successfully finish the "JASC E-Learning Course" with a minimum score of 40%
• After clearing the E-Learning course, practice using VMAL App (Mobile or Desktop) editions on how to build an automation system. Candidates must play and pass any of the desktop or mobile editions to be eligible for the qualifier round
• For qualifier round, participants shall use their own device (mobile / Desktop) to play the game at their own pace & convenience (please note that the fastest finger wins)
• Top 20 candidate from qualifier round will move to final round. The Candidates are ranked based on their scores obtained between 01.06.2026 – 30.06.2026. Any scores obtained before or after these dates will not be considered for the competition
• Notification via email along with the scheduled date and time for the top 20 candidates will be delivered at least 10 days before the final round
• The top 20 shortlisted candidates need to upload their documents (Bonafide certificate, ID Card, Aadhar card) in the JDLS dashboard within 2 days of the email notification received

Final Round:

• The final round is executed using VMAL VR Edition and DIY KIT (A physical integrated system performing an automated feeding operation.) The VR gadget and DIY KIT will be provided by JANATICS for the final round at Islamic University of Science and Technology, Jammu & Kashmir
• Students should report at least 30 min before the scheduled date and time as mentioned in the email. The same will also be visible in their JDLS Dashboard
• Participants need to show their college ID-cards & Bonafide certificate while reporting at the venue for the final competition, failing which they might not be allowed to participate in the final round.
• Students must make their own Travel, boarding and lodging arrangements for the competition
